May 13 ------ SB19—a P-pop powerhouse group composed of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin—is gearing up to make their historic debut at Lollapalooza, as they’re set to have an hour-long set at the music festival’s Allianz stage.
The quintet’s upcoming set, along with other performers, was announced by Lollapalooza, with the “DAM” hitmakers confirmed to perform from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 30 (4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on July 31 in the Philippines). The announcement was also reposted on SB19’s social media platforms.
A typical Lollapalooza set often lasts from 45 to 90 minutes, the latter of which is reserved for its headline acts. Over the years, some headline acts have run up to two hours, depending on how their set went.
As for SB19, an hour-long set is common for supporting and afternoon acts, especially since it’s their first time at the festival. Apart from the opening VCR, introduction, and talking parts, this means approximately 12 to 18 songs will be performed within the given timeframe.
What is the Allianz stage anyway?
Since Lollapalooza is a massive music festival, different stages are scattered across the venue. The map for its 2026 edition has yet to be revealed, though Allianz is speculated to be the Lake Shore stage based on the duration of performances and its placement on the lineup in previous years.
After all, the festival is notable for naming stages after its sponsors, and its 2026 installment is no different. Note that the Lake Shore stage was renamed IHG Hotels and Resorts in 2024. Lake Shore and T-Mobile (one of the stages where some headliners perform) are on the same field, though the former is on the side of the area.
Based on past editions, Lake Shore has always accommodated rising acts of the pop, indie pop, and indie rock genres. Performances often begin after noon, and due to its location, some visit this venue to pass the time before the headline act on T-Mobile takes the stage. Other festivalgoers on Reddit note that this particular stage doesn’t have the best sound system, but it depends on how the artist navigates its pros and cons.
