MANILA, February 9 ------ Big stars arrived one by one at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 Departure area for their flight to Dubai, where they will perform at The Filipino Channel's (TFC) 30th anniversary celebration. Piolo Pascual, Maris Racal, Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin are set to perform at the Barrio Fiesta Dubai event on February 10.
Pascual said this is just one of the many events that TFC has in store this year for their loyal viewers around the world. "Highlight is the overwhelming gratitude that we feel towards our kababayans all around the world. Kicking it off with the first Barrio Fiesta event this year, celebrating our 30 years and then we're going to London for July and August naman in LA for 'ASAP.' We just really want to show our gratitude to our loyal subscribers that through all these years they remained loyal. It's a nice way to reconnect and revisit that community that made us who we are and where we are right now," he said. 2024 will prove to be another busy year for Pascual as he has movies, concert tours and another TV series lined up for him. "As soon as I get back next week, lock-in na kami for taping ng 'Pamilya Sagrado,' last project ni Tito Deo (Endrinal) before he passed last week so we want to continue his legacy. And then I'm working on a couple of films, and then touring, two tours in June and November for the States. So busy ulit," he said.
Just like Pascual, Racal has no plans of slowing down this year as she also juggles different projects and shooting the hit TV series "Can't Buy Me Love." When asked about her relationship with Rico Blanco, she said, "Sobrang busy namin both. Siya sobrang busy din niya for kaka-rehearse at kaka-prepare for the Rivermaya reunion. Ako naman shoots left and right. Well name-maintain talaga namin ang good communication." She also shared that she and Blanco already celebrated Valentine's Day in advance. "Actually we made time for each other na, alam mo 'yun. Nag-Valentine's date na kami in advance kasi alam namin dalawa na super busy namin and I totally understand that hindi madali mag-ready sa isang malaking concert," she said.
Fedelin and Diaz, meanwhile, both expressed their excitement to be part of the Barrio Fiesta event and also traveling to Dubai for the first time. "Sobrang excited ko rin po, parang pangarap ko lang din makapunta sa ganung bansa tapos heto na para pasayahin pa 'yung mga kababayan natin, mga kapamilya natin dun. Unang una sobrang saya ko na naging parte ako ng 30th anniversary, 'yun 'yung pinag-usapan namin ni Francine, ang misyon namin ay fiesta ito, Barrio Fiesta. Ang misyon namin ay dalhin ang fiesta ng Pinoy dun kahit nasa Dubai sila. Mapasaya sila, uuwi sila na pagod sila matutulog sila dahil nag-enjoy sila," Fedelin said. Diaz also said she can't wait to meet and personally thank her fans in Dubai for supporting her. "I cannot find the right term kung gaano ako ka-excited. It's my first time sa Dubai. Hindi lang siya makakapag-travel ako e, it's also a great opportunity for me to show the Filipinos in Dubai kung gaano ako nagpapasalamat sa suporta nila sa amin," she said.
