Liza Soberano joins Golden Globes Impact Prize jury at Venice Film Festival

August 27 ------ Liza Soberano has been named to the jury of the Golden Globes Impact Prize for Documentary, which will be presented by the Artemis Rising Foundation during the upcoming Venice Film Festival.
Variety reported Soberano’s participation. As part of the jury, the Filipino actress will help recognize a documentary feature in the festival’s official selection, whether in or out of competition, that demonstrates the power of documentary filmmaking to shed light on important social issues through compelling storytelling.
“I’m honored to serve on this jury, because celebrating documentary filmmakers isn’t only about recognizing extraordinary talent; it’s where the future of cinema is heading,” Soberano said in a statement.
Soberano will serve alongside Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne; Oscar-winning producer and Artemis Rising Foundation founder Regina K. Scully; Oscar-winning producer and Impact Partners co-founder Geralyn White Dreyfous; and Think-Film Impact Production founder and CEO Danielle Turkov Wilson.
