PH queens score double victories in Bali, Bangkok pageants

September 1 ------ The Philippines further asserted its status as an international beauty pageant powerhouse by posting victories in two competitions. Margarette Briton was crowned Miss Interglobal at a competition held in Bali, Indonesia, while Jamie Casiño topped the Miss Equality World pageant in Bangkok, Thailand, hours later.

Briton represented Bicolandia at the the 2025 Miss Grand Philippines pageant, where she finished first runner-up. The now-defunct national search also produced the current Miss Grand International Emma Tiglao and reigning Face of Beauty International Nikkie Buenafe Cheveh.

ALV Pageant Circle of talent manager and entrepreneur Anold Vegafria appointed Briton as Miss Interglobal Philippines during a coronation gala held in June, where he also bestowed titles to other queens. Before Briton’s victory, Filipino queen Miriam Refuerzo Damoah received the Miss Interglobal title in 2021 after the Thai winner Nachita Jantana relinquished the crown for personal reasons.

With Briton’s coronation as 2026 Miss Interglobal, ALV Pageant Circle has collected its second international crown this year. In April, 2026 Miss World Philippines First Princess Anne De Mesa emerged victorious at the Miss Tourism Worldwide pageant in Malaysia. Briton dominated the Bali pageant with multiple recognitions prior to her coronation. She received the Star Connect, Social Impact, National Costume Excellence, and Dinner Dress awards. She was also in the Top 5 of the Fashion Outfit, National Costume, Evening Gown, and Talent contests during the preliminary competition.

Miles away in Bangkok, Casiño posted the Philippines’ first-ever victory at the Miss Equality World pageant, an inclusive international competition that also celebrates transgender women. Alanna Cordero Santillan from Mexico finished first runner-up, while Vi Ai Giang from Vietnam was second runner-up.
