January 25 ------ Reigning Miss Eco International Alexie Brooks is set to fly to the United Kingdom to fulfill her role as global beauty queen and help choose another lady who will aim for the crown she currently holds. The Ilongga national athlete and model will serve as the “Head Judge” of the Miss Eco International UK competition, which will be held on March 15 (16 in Manila).

Reigning Miss Eco International UK Victoria Repollo Inglis is a full-blooded Filipino woman from Scotland, who has roots in Pangasinan and Ilocos. She was fourth runner-up in the global competition.

Brooks had just attended the Miss Eco International North America competition held in Florida in the United States earlier this month, also to serve as one of the judges. She is the third Filipino woman to be crowned Miss Eco International, following Cynthia Thomalla in 2018 and Kathleen Paton in 2022, who had also extended the Philippines’ placement streak to seven successive editions. Brooks is also the first-ever national beauty titlist from the Empire Philippines stable to bring home an international crown. The group produces the Miss Universe Philippines pageant and manages the Miss Philippines brand.

Empire’s first entry to the Miss Eco International was Cebuana law student Chantal Schmidt, who competed in the 2024 global pageant where she was hailed as first runner-up.

Brooks competed at the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, where she landed a Top 10 spot. After the competition, she was crowned as Miss Philippines-Eco International to succeed Schmidt, paving the way for her global ascension.

Miss Eco International is one of the numerous global beauty pageants whose main advocacy is environmental sustainability and protecting the planet from further degradation.

This year, the Philippines will be represented by Gabriella Mai Carballo, a local pageant veteran from Cebu who is also a licensed medical doctor. She hopes to inherit Brooks’ title at the 2026 Miss Eco International finals, which will be held in Alexandria, Egypt, in May.
