Kapamilya stars and programs among winners at USTV+ Awards 2026

MANILA, September 24 ------ ABS-CBN programs and personalities were triumphant at the USTV+ Awards 2026.

Kapamilya primetime flagship news program, TV Patrol, won the Media Excellence Award in Responsible News Reporting (Program). The recognition was received by TV Patrol anchor Bernadette Sembrano. "Maraming maraming salamat mula sa buong team ng ABS-CBN News. We are so humbled and grateful. Asahan po ninyo na ipagpapatuloy pa natin ang laban natin, kapit lang!" said Sembrano.

Coco Martin received the Special Citation for Excellence in Media and Television Storytelling for his successful primetime action-drama programs “FPJ's Ang Probinsyano,”’ “PJ's Batang Quiapo,” and his current primetime offering “Sigabo.”

In his acceptance speech, Martin acknowledged and thanked his mother network, ABS-CBN, alongside Dreamscape Entertainment and CCM Film Productions. He also thanked his production team and dedicated his award to his family, his grandmother, and his partner Julia Montes. "Sobrang na-surprise ako sa award na to, sabi ko nga pinack-up ko pa yung sarili ko sa taping ko kanina, para lang makapunta dito dahil talagang napakalaking karangalan nito para sa kin, dahil talagang pinaghihirapan talaga namin yung paggawa ng kwento, pagbuo ng show, ang daming nagtutulong tulong talaga para makalikha tayo ng isang makabuluhang programa sa ABS-CBN," said Martin.

Eugene Domingo also received Media Excellence Award in Entertainment for Comedy, while award-winning actress and chef Judy Ann Santos took home the Media Excellence Award in Culinary Heritage for her YouTube channel, Judy Ann's Kitchen. "Malaking bagay 'to kasi first ito ng Judy Ann's Kitchen. I super appreciate all the messages and comments of our subscribers, binabasa ko yung mga comments nila sa YouTube. That alone, okay na ko, masayang-masaya na ko," said Santos, who personally accepted the award.

Luis Manzano was also given the Media Excellence Award in Entertainment for Game Show Host while the Media Excellence Award in Entertainment for Game Show/Reality Program went to “Pinoy Big Brother.”

Star Cinema's very own blockbuster box office director, Cathy Garcia-Sampana, won Media Excellence Award in Entertainment for Movie (Individual). Meanwhile, Bianca Gonzalez was honored with the Media Influencer Award in Psychological Awareness and Advocacy. Gonzalez felt nostalgic during her speech as she recalled receiving her first USTV award for 'Y Speak,' two decades ago.
