Kean Cipriano releases first song since leaving Callalily

September 12 ------ Kean Cipriano has treated fans with his latest single “Tayuman,” his first song to be released since he left the rock band Callalily.

The musician sings of unrequited love and one’s desire for their feelings to be reciprocated in the acoustic track released on O/C Records’ YouTube channel. O/C Records is the label that Cipriano co-founded with his wife, actress Chynna Ortaleza. “Tayuman” seemingly used wordplay on the LRT’s Tayuman station and the words “tayo man,” as its official audio and lyric video features two people standing on different sides of the train station.

Cipriano confirmed last June that he and the other Callalily members were “done,” as he disclosed that they were not okay and a band reunion was not going to happen. He and his former bandmates were together for 17 years. Callalily then changed its name to LILY, also in June, in time for a “new beginning” for its remaining members Lem Belaro, Aaron Ricafrente, Nathan Reyes and Alden Acosta.
