February 1 ------ Singer-songwriter Josh Groban has announced Filipino music icons Regine Velasquez and Martin Nievera as special guests for his upcoming Manila concert on February 18 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Groban, a Tony, Emmy, and five-time Grammy Award nominee, is set to perform selections from across his career, which include songs such as “You Raise Me Up,” “To Where You Are,” “February Song,” and “The Prayer.” The tour announcement said the concert will also feature works such as “Believe” and “Evermore,” accompanied by an orchestra and choir.

Velasquez is known for songs including “Dadalhin,” “Pangako,” and “On the Wings of Love,” while Nievera, a singer-songwriter and television host, is associated with hits such as “Be My Lady,” “Say That You Love Me,” and “You Are My Song.” Nievera has previously interviewed Groban and is now set to share the stage with him during the Manila performance.

Groban last performed in the Philippines seven years ago and described the country as having “a very special place in my heart.” “Outside of America, the Philippines is one that got to truly accept my music,” Groban said. “Filipinos have understood me and my music for the entirety of my career.” He added that his concerts in the country are shaped by appreciation for local audiences. “Every time I have the opportunity to perform for my fans in the Philippines, it is a night of many things — most of which is gratitude — gratitude that I feel from my fans there since album one, day one,” he said. “So whenever I come to the Philippines, whenever I get to play a concert there, I celebrate your country’s love of music.”

The show forms part of Groban’s “Gems World Tour” and is presented by Wilbros Live. Tickets are available through SM Tickets outlets and online. VIP soundcheck and package options are also offered.
