December 10 ------ After a year filled with milestones, power couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano shared what they’re grateful for, their plans for the year ahead, and the exciting projects on the horizon. In a relaxed conversation with members of the media, Manzano reflected on the idea of “redirection” as a form of protection from paths one is not meant to take.

Asked if he was considering a return to politics, he said, “Honestly, I don’t think about it anymore. After everything we went through, everything that’s happening... I feel like I’ve found my niche again.”

The TV host admitted that he felt “a bit lost” right after the campaign and the election. He ran for vice governor of Batangas — as running mate of his mom, now Governor Vilma Santos, in the 2025 local elections, but lost to then-governor Hermilando Mandanas. “But afterward, everything fell into place. I didn’t want to waste that because not everyone gets a second chance to come back in the industry.” He went on to describe his current focus: “As of now, my main focus is returning to hosting and taking care of the family. But I still plan to help out in Batangas as well.”

For Jessy, gratitude has been abundant, especially after her much-anticipated on-screen comeback in “Sins of the Father.” She shared, “I can confidently say that we [Luis and I] have found the right rhythm for us as a couple, for our family, and even individually.” She also expressed her appreciation for ABS-CBN: “Who would have thought I’d be back? After six long years, here I am, acting again as Jessy Mendiola. I also proved to myself that I could complete a show.”

As the holiday season approaches, Mendiola shared a heartfelt wish for everyone: “Peace for my family, my husband, and for everyone else. So much is happening right now, and many people are still struggling after calamities. I hope they can feel warmth... love.”

When asked about her own personal wishes, she smiled, “For myself, I don’t really wish for much anymore. I’m just grateful... I’m truly happy.” Looking ahead, Manzano teased what 2026 holds for him: “Next year will be a good year because I’m bringing back a daily game show. ‘Rainbow Rumble’ is still ongoing, and I have another game show I’m planning. Next year, I’m aiming for two to three shows.”

As they close 2025, both Manzano and Mendiola reflected on how far they’ve come — grateful for lessons, second chances, and the people who have stood by them. And with hearts full of gratitude and a focus on meaningful relationships, they step into 2026 ready to embrace whatever comes next — together.
