MANILA, Philippines, January 28 ------ Local music groups Cup of Joe and BGYO were among the winners of the Philippines' first-ever TikTok LIVE Awards. The inaugural ceremony recognized local creators who have built engaged communities through authentic, real-time interaction as a reflection of the platform's Live feature evolving into a space for creativity, connection, and participation.

Kamille Abesilla won TikTok LIVE Creator of the Year and was recognized for sharing helpful educational content for fellow creators. "This platform has truly changed lives and opened doors I never imagined," the creator said in her acceptance speech.

Ryssi Avila, meanwhile, won the Community LIVE Creator of the Year and Global Recognition awards. She represented the Philippines at the recently concluded TikTok LIVE Fest in Thailand. In her own message, Ryssi thanked the platform for giving her international stages, greater exposure, and a real-time connection with fans. Tommy Tiangco received the Smile and Service Award, while BGYO won the Community Impact Award, the latter after showcasing community growth through LIVE music experiences.

The group noted how the platform allowed them to become closer as well as share their music to fans more authentically. Cup of Joe continued its hot streak of awards after the band's hit song "Multo" was recognized as Song of the Year.
