Jerald Napoles explains why dating shouldn't stop after marriage

MANILA, August 25 ------ Actor-comedian Jerald Napoles believes spending quality time together, such as going on meaningful dates, remains important for couples, even after marriage. Napoles, who is married to actress and singer Kim Molina, said he intentionally makes time for dates whenever their busy schedules allow.

“Sakto, hindi ako na-call sa taping. Kapag gano’n, automatic nagyaya ako sine,” Napoles said during an event where they were introduced as the latest endorsers of Botejyu. “Kasi I’m taping for ‘Sigabo’ Monday, Wednesday, Friday, tapos a movie Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. So sakto, kapag wala akong taping, automatic gagawa ako ng lakad kay Kim,” he added.

For Napoles, their dates are not necessarily elaborate and spending time together watching a movie and eating a simple meal is enough. “Nagugulat kami na date pala ‘yun. Meron siya ginagawa parang pelikula pa din. Natanggal sintas ko habang umuulan tapos lumuhod siya bigla para itali,” Molina shared. “Tapos nakita ko vi-video pala — ginawa content,” she jokingly added.

Napoles said he also never gets tired of spending time with his wife. “Kapag ’di kami magkasama, when I realized, tagal na ako lang mag-isa. Minsan pupuntahan ko barkada sa gym, it’s a boy group. Ma-realize ko, ‘Oo nga, no, tagal na pala na kami lang magkasama ni Kimmy,’ pero ’di ako nagsawa,” he explained. “Appreciate ko ’yun kasi marami kasi kami pinag-uusapan.”
