Isabelle Daza donates water pump, solar panels to Tanay village facing clean water crisis

October 26 ------ Isabelle Daza has fulfilled her promise to help a village in Tanay, Rizal, gain access to clean drinking water after a water pump and solar panels were finally installed in the community.
Daza took to Instagram on Friday, Oct. 23 to share highlights of her visit to Ave Maria, where she showed the newly installed facilities, including a submersible water pump, an off-grid solar power system and water storage tanks for residents.
“I want to show you guys my biggest flex to date. Come. Okay, it’s not a bag. It’s not a watch. It’s a water pump,” Daza said in the video. “So, like what I promised last year, November 2025, we said that it’s really hard to get up in life if we don’t have necessities, like clean water,” she continued.
Daza credited Waves for Water for stepping in to support the initiative after the organization saw her earlier video about the village. The group donated a submersible pump and solar panels to help provide the community with a more reliable water supply. “Honestly, I’m so proud of myself and all of you guys for supporting our mission because we reached it,” she said. “It’s so fulfilling to see the community is happy with water. You know, it’s something we take for granted. I love that we were able to do this.”
Aside from the pump and solar-powered system, two water tanks were installed to store water for the families. Daza also demonstrated the water filtration system, which she said makes the water safe to drink without boiling or adding minerals. The project has also improved the residents’ access to water inside their homes. Daza showed newly installed pipes, a kitchen sink, and a bathroom, noting that residents previously had to fetch water and pour it manually.
Daza said the next phase will focus on bringing electricity to the village, followed by the construction of a community center that could support livelihood opportunities for women and provide students with a space to learn and work online. “This is just the beginning of our help here in Ave Maria,” she said. “The next phase is the community center for the livelihood of the women here. Co-work center for the students. You can learn to work online. And there will be Wi-Fi.”
She also thanked her followers for supporting the project by following the community’s story and engaging with her social media posts. “I just want to thank all of you guys for following the story, for engaging in it. You’re able to contribute,” she said.
In September 2025, Daza shared a video introducing her followers to the community and explaining its significance to her family. She said the property was given by her grandmother to her mother in the 1980s before her mother donated it in the 1990s for a project that helped provide homes for people who had nowhere to live. “My target for the next 12 months is to put up a water tank for the village to have running water daily, and solar powered packs to have electricity in each home,” she wrote in the caption of her earlier post.
Daza’s initiative comes as other celebrities have also used their platforms to highlight communities’ lack of access to basic necessities. Earlier this year, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray visited an isolated community in Siquijor to help address residents’ ongoing lack of access to clean water.
