MANILA, Philippines, September 29 ------ Long before they were officially announced as part of “Coachella 2026,” P-pop powerhouse BINI had already been manifesting their dream of performing at the iconic music and arts festival in the US.

The eight-member girl group first shared their “Coachella” goal in a Q&A vlog uploaded on their YouTube channel in October 2024, when they were asked about their aspirations as a group. “Well, our goal as a group is (to) be (a) household name in the Philippines. When you ask your neighbor, ‘Do you know BINI?’ (They will say,) ‘Oh, yeah, I love BINI.’ That’s our goal when you ask your driver, they know BINI. That’s our goal,” Sheena said in the vlog. “And one thing… Oh, also, ‘Coachella!’ If you’re gonna dream, dream big as you can so ‘Coachella,’” she added.

The group would echo this vision again in February of the year, following their successful “Grand BINIverse: The Repeat” concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. “Hopefully, makapag-perform kami sa ‘Coachella,’” Stacey said. “We really want to perform in ‘Coachella,’ syempre, very big milestone siya. Alam mo ‘yung nandun ka tapos ‘yung parang mapabilib sa amin na live talaga kami kumanta,” Mikha added. That dream became reality on Sept. 16, when “Coachella” announced BINI as part of its official 2026 lineup, placing them on one of the world’s most prestigious stages.

The star-studded roster includes headliners Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G, alongside global girl group KASTEYE — which features Filipino member Sophia Laforteza —and K-pop acts BIG BANG and SHINee’s Taemin, among others. Known for hits such as Pantropiko, Salamin Salamin, and Cherry On Top, BINI’s participation marks a historic milestone: they are the first Filipino girl group to perform at “Coachella.”

The 2026 edition of the festival will take place on April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, with BINI set to perform on April 10 and 17, 2026.
