July 22 ------ The heartwarming story of Domingo Zamora and Xavier Gonzaga continues to win hearts, as “Green Bones” emerged as the biggest winner of the eighth Entertainment Editors’ Choice (EDDYs) Awards. The Zig Dulay-helmed film won a total of six awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.

“Green Bones” lead actors Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, who won best actor and best supporting actors, respectively, thanked the Eddys for their Box Office Hero award.

Mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino,” said Trillo afterwards.

Organized by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), the EDDYs awards celebrated the efforts of filmmakers, actors, writers, and the people behind the camera. The eighth edition of the awards ceremony was held at the Ceremonial Hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City on Sunday, July 20.
