GMA’s 75th anniversary gala: Kapuso stars shine in their elegant best

July 1 ------ It was a celebration of legacy, friendship, and star power as Kapuso celebrities like Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera, Barbie Forteza, Alden Richards, among others gathered at GMA’s 75th anniversary event.

The media giant’s 75th anniversary special, which took place at the GMA headquarters on Sunday, June 29, brought together some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, posing on the red carpet all glammed up in their elegant ensembles.

Dantes and Rivera were a picture-perfect pair on the red carpet, with the actress donning a silver midi dress lined with sequins, finished with drop earrings and a sleek ponytail. Meanwhile, her partner looked sleek in a two-piece tuxedo completed with a silver necklace and brooch.

Straying from the usual black-tie ensemble, Richards and Gabby Concepcion were dashing on the red carpet with the “Stars on the Floor” host showing up in a printed midnight blue tuxedo with black lapels and a bowtie. Meanwhile, Concepcion looked smart in a beige tuxedo.

Taking the cue from their fashion-forward characters, “Beauty Empire” lead stars Barbie Forteza, Kyline Alcantara, and Choi Bo-min were breathtaking on the red carpet. Forteza shined in a pale yellow dress with a matching scarf, while Alcantara looked sultry in a tube cut-out dress. Choi was dashing in a beige clean-cut tuxedo.

“Sang’gre” lead stars Bianca Umali, Faith Da Silva, and Kelvin Miranda stayed faithful to their respective colors as the keepers of the earth (brown), fire (red), and water (green) gems. Angel Guardian opted for a black corset top and long sleeves. The sang’gres of the 2016 “Encantadia,” namely, Glaiza de Castro, Kylie Padilla, Sanya Lopez, and Gabbi Garcia showed their individual styles on the red carpet — with each having their own alluring flair. De Castro’s morena beauty took center stage in a graphic Filipiniana top with butterfly sleeves and a green skirt, while Lopez’s golden complexion shone in her white halter dress. For her part, Padilla looked elegant in a black off-shoulder dress while Garcia looked like a golden goddess in her yellow off-shoulder top with massive sleeves.

Shuvee Etrata proved she was one of the breakout stars in the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab” edition in her off-shoulder pink dress with a fur trim. Fellow “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab” edition alums Ashley Ortega, Josh Ford, Dustin Yu, Michael Sager, Xyriel Manabat, and AC Bonifacio also made a stunning appearance on the red carpet.

Other celebrities who graced the event were Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi, Katrina Halili, Paolo Contis, Cassy Legaspi, Mavy Legaspi, Ruru Madrid, Kokoy de Santos, Rita Daniela, Sofia Pablo, and Khalil Ramos. Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, David Licauco, and Ai-Ai delas Alas were also the stars who were invited to GMA’s 75th anniversary celebration.
