GMA actor Kristoffer Martin reveals he's dad to 4-year-old

January 22 ------ GMA actor Kristoffer Martin became emotional on Thursday, January 21 after announcing that he was a father of a 4-year-old girl.

In an interview on 24 Oras, Kristoffer, 26, said that his showbiz friends such as Alden Richards, Bea Benene, Thea Tolentino, and Rodjun Cruz know about his daughter Precious or Pre. "My friends know. Madaming nakakaalam. Ninong pa nga si Alden, ninang pa si Bea, si Rodjun, si Thea, madami pa. As in maraming nakakaalam. Tapos yung iba na nagtatanong at nakaalam and asked me dahil may haka-haka, sinasabi ko talaga," he said.

Asked why he kept quiet about being a single dad, Kristoffer said that he was never the type to talk or post much about his own life on his social media accounts. "If you’re going to search dun sa mga account ko, talaga sobrang konti lang makikita mo sa personal life ko. That’s me. Alam ko kasi i-balance yung work ko sa personal life eh. Sabi ko nga, I want to give Pre yung privacy na deserve niya.”

Kristoffer said that Pre is currently staying with her mom in Olongapo. He said that things did not work out between him and Pre's mom and they have been co-parenting. Despite the distance, Kristoffer said he will be a responsible father. "Hinding-hindi ko pababayaan si Pre. Hindi niya mararamdaman na wala ako dun sa tabi niya. Kahit anong mangyari anak ko si Pre." (I will never abandon Pre. She won't even feel that I am not around. Whatever happens, she is my daughter.)

Kristoffer said that he long wanted to open up about his daughter, "Sobrang tagal ko na siyang gustong ilabas. As in, sobra. Sabi ko, 'Lord, pahingi ng sign.' Isang tao lang talaga. Proud ako na nagawa ko 'to kasi she deserves this. She really deserves this."
