Elijah Canlas goes beyond the screen with debut album 'South II'

MANILA, February 28 ------ There are no roles to play this time for Elijah Canlas. The actor-musician steps into his own spotlight with the release of his debut album “South II” marking a deeply personal chapter beyond the characters that made him known on screen.

In a social media post, Canlas thanked his collaborators for helping him. "No characters portrayed here. I often consume artists’ music through albums more than playlists. Can’t believe I’m about to drop my very own debut album. Big thanks to all my collaborators for helping me discover my voice and a sound that further explores my truth," Canlas captioned his post.

Featured tracks in "South II" are “oras mo na raw!” kilala kita, ” "u wanna be?” (feat. SHNTI), “mousetrap,” “Joseph K,” “asar talo,” “hugas,” “Lalalalang,” “loved song,” and “bituin.” Canlas released his single "u wanna be?" featuring hip-hop artist SHNTI last February 20.
