September 14 ------ It looks like 2025 is definitely turning out to be Christopher Diwata’s year after getting his second wind at fame when his viral Tiktok meme “What haffen, Vella?” resurfaced and started making the rounds online. It even prompting celebrities to come out with their own impersonations of the former “Kalokalike” contestant who performed Taylor Lautner’s scene from the Hollywood film, Twilight, in 2013.
Since then, the online personality has been busy making the rounds, making appearances at various events, and endorsing various brands online.
Earlier this month, Christopher also proudly shared the opening of his family’s first food franchise. Prior to his newfound fame, he was making a humble living as a fish dealer in Bataan. In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN during the BINI x Surf Haba-Habango Day event, he explained why he wants to continue his fish-dealing business. Kasi yun kasi yun talaga yung alam na alam kong hanapbuhay eh,” he told PUSH ABS-CBN.
With his humble and low-key personality, it’s no surprise that Christopher has gained a following online with netizens who continue to cheer him on and support his endeavors. This is why he said that he will never get tired of being asked to utter the lines that first made him famous this year, "What haffen, Vella?"
At tuloy-tuloy lang yung pagsuporta,” he said.
With his face now associated with multiple brands and more viral reels online with his collaborations with various celebrities, Christopher asserted that he will never let the fame get to his head. “Nabago sa anong way?
Apart from his hope to get into acting this time around, Christopher also said he is still looking for the day when he gets the chance to finally meet his biggest idol in showbiz.
