MANILA, Philippines, July 7 ------ Philippine bet Charyzah Barbara Esparrago was content with her first runner-up finish at the just-concluded Miss Supermodel Worldwide 2025 coronation night that took place at the Okada Manila. Joy Mwangi of the USA bagged the grand title with Joseline Pando of Ecuador as second runner-up, Ruth Yirgalem Weldesilasie of Ethiopia as third runner-up and Ju Won Bak of South Korea as fourth runner-up.
“It’s so wonderful. I’m really happy not just for me but for all the girls who have won, especially our Miss Supermodel Worldwide. She’s so deserving, all of the girls are so deserving and most importantly, I’m very happy to have a crown and award for my country,” Charyzah told The STAR in an interview. “I’m so happy with my performance. As I say, at the end of the day, I leave it all to God. I put it on the floor, I gave my everything, but God’s plan is God’s plan. And I’m just happy to be an instrument of God,” she continued.
She was grateful that all their hard work had paid off at the finals night. As she recalled, “Honestly, what was running through my mind was, it was just excitement, that we were reaching the end of all of these months of hard work. And every time my kapatid, sisters’ (fellow candidates) names got called, I was just so happy for them. Every award that they got they were so deserving of and I’m so happy to see them grow throughout this journey like Miss India, she’s like my little sister. So, when I saw her get the Best Speaker Award, I cheered so loud ‘cause I’m so happy for her.”
Asked about her expectations prior to the coronation night, Charyzah quipped, “My feet won’t hurt. Haha!” Kidding aside, she was delighted that she was able to showcase all the stunning pieces that she wore that night. “Hopefully, do them justice. All of these, my final’s gown by Louis Pangilinan, all of the pieces are really something that I’m proud of and I wanted to showcase that on the stage.”
Apart from being a beauty queen, Charyzah wears many hats. She’s also a brand manager, an event host, a model and a business owner. Her family and friends from Cebu flew to Manila to show their support for her at the competition. “I am blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. And this is an example of it. I have so many supporters through and through, and most importantly, these are my warriors in this journey that is our life.” How about joining another pageant after Miss Supermodel Worldwide 2025? “Once again, it’s always up to God. When the door opens, I will never say no. But right now my priority, of course, is getting some rest (and) finishing my work (so that I could) go back to the office tomorrow. And whatever follows is what is meant to happen,” she said.
Charyzah also received several special awards, such as, Best in Evening Gown, Best Fashion Model, Miss Skindough, Miss Beauty and Brain and Miss Wacoal. Charmyn KC Sierra of Vietnam was named Miss Supermodel Worldwide-Asia; Gulsiia Aidarovna of Russia as Miss Supermodel Worldwide-Europe; Olwethi Tembe of South Africa as Miss Supermodel Worldwide-Africa and Shelito Kim Gallego of Hawaii as Miss Supermodel Worldwide-The Americas.
