June 22 ------ Former “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” housemates Caprice Cayetano, Heath Jornales, Marco Masa, and Clifford Arceo are bringing their real-life friendship to the small screen as they headline GMA Afternoon Prime’s upcoming youth-oriented drama “You’re My Favorite Song.”
Set to premiere June 22, the series that explores family, friendship, dreams, and first love stars Cayetano as Angel Dimaculangan, a 16-year-old genius who relocates to Solmera City to help her grandfather fulfill his dream of building a beach resort. Her plans, however, are threatened when a powerful corporation targets their family property. “Angel is a genius when it comes to science, but she’s also very friendly and family-oriented. I relate to her love for family and the way she fights for her dreams and the dreams of the people she loves,” Cayetano said during a media conference.
The actress said she was thrilled to finally take on a youthful and lighthearted role. “I know Gen Z and Gen Alpha viewers will be able to relate to it. It’s a heartwarming story about friends, family, and dreams,” she said.
Jornales, who plays Miguel Miraflor, portrays a young musician struggling under the expectations of a controlling father. “I relate to Miguel because of his love and passion for music. One of his biggest conflicts is that his father doesn’t give him much freedom,” Jornales said. “I’m very happy because this is the first series where I’m one of the main cast members. Viewers shouldn’t miss it because of the romantic moments that will surely make them smile,” he added.
Masa takes on the role of Zion, a shy and awkward student who learns to stand up for himself despite being bullied. “I’m so excited because after leaving the PBB house, this is my first continuous television series, and I’m doing it with the same people I shared that experience with,” he added.
