ONTARIO, California, August 13 ------ BINI’s highly anticipated performance in ‘ASAP in California’ was a special treat for their US-based blooms. The nation’s girl group performed three songs ‘Cherry on Top,’ ‘Salamin Salamin’ and their mega-hit ‘Pantropiko.’ After their performance, ABS-CBN Music head Roxy Liquigan and songwriter-producer Jonathan Manalo went up on stage and handed the girls their gold and platinum certifications for their albums "Feel Good" and "Talaarawan."
“We felt shocked, and we didn’t expect na ganun na pala 'yung nabentang albums and it just shows the growth from the past years and it shows how much hard work we put into this. And now, the fruit is the coco-fruit,” said Mikha.
More than feeling nervous, the girls felt comfortable onstage performing their hits infront of the 7,000-strong crowd at the Toyota Arena. “Mas lamang 'yung excitement namin sa kaba namin, feeling ko kasi ang warm ng welcome since nag-land kami ng Ontario (California). 'Yung welcome ng tao is very warm kaya siguro hindi rin kami super kinabahan sa performance namin ngayon,” said Jhoanna.
Just like how they do it in their concerts, all eight members went down to the audience area while dancing and singing to their smash hit "Pantropiko." “Sobrang natuwa ako sa mga lolo lola, kasi nandun sila, sila 'yung mga naka-VIP talaga, and alam na alam nila 'yung song namin na 'Pantropiko' and nakita rin may mga Blooms, nakahawak ng banner. May mga naka-BINI shirts and BINI wand, kaya natutuwa kami kasi kahit dalawa o tatlo lang ang nandun, basta may Bloom masaya ang BINI,” said Stacey.
BINI just wrapped up the first two stops of their "BINIverse in Canada" tour in Vancouver and Edmonton. The girls will head over to Winnipeg and Toronto this weekend.
