November 21 ------ Belle Mariano is riding a wave of momentum as the family drama “Meet, Greet & Bye,” starring Maricel Soriano, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, Mariano, and Juan Karlos Labajo, continues its strong box-office run.
During an interview last week, Mariano was still reeling from the box-office figures she kept receiving — how the film earned P33 million just three days after its Nov. 12 opening, and how, five days later, its worldwide gross had already climbed to P120 million. Mariano was still absorbing the news when asked about the film’s early performance.
“I can’t believe it!” she said, adding that the story is beautiful after all. “You can feel its heart, and the love that went into making it,” she said in an interview with The Manila Times and other members of the press. “I hope there will be more support for ‘Meet, Greet, and Bye.’ Because the message we’re sharing is so beautiful — just keep spreading love.”
According to her, she has been receiving positive reviews of the movie and even seeing videos of the audience crying after watching. “It’s really important for us artists to know that the audience likes the product or the effort we put in,” Mariano added.
Away from the screen, Mariano has been open about the small routines that keep her centered, especially during long workdays. Lately, she shared, she has been prioritizing rest. “I try to sleep as much as I can. I even nap in the car. That’s my form of self-care, and when I do that, I feel like I have more energy,” she said. “Don’t forget to take care of yourself, too, and always practice good hygiene. I feel like when you look after yourself, you’re better able to take care of others,” she added.
That message carried over to her role as care ambassador at Sanicare’s first “Hygiene Hangout” held Nov. 19 at Sevenscape in San Juan City. The event, which highlighted how hygiene can be a form of self-expression, featured interactive lifestyle zones and activities designed around personal routines and habits. “Self-care for me is really important because that’s where you get your energy to present yourself to the world. ‘Self-care isn’t selfish.’ It’s okay to take a step back, have a day off from social media, or unwind with friends. This allows me to recharge and deliver my best in everything I do,” Mariano advised in the Q&A.
Mariano also shared why this brand partnership feels personal: “I grew up using Sanicare, from my early days in the industry. Knowing that the brand shares the same self-care advocacy I truly believe in, makes me proud to be part of this family.” With nearly three decades in the market, the brand continues to center its message on staying fresh, confident, and prepared. Mariano, juggling a hit film and a packed schedule, has shown how those themes tie closely to the way she shows up for work, fans, and herself.
