Additional crown up for grabs for Miss World Philippines 2026 candidates

January 19 ------ Candidates of the 2026 Miss World Philippines pageant have more crowns to fight for as the organizers added another title at stake in the competition.

Originally, the pageant will also award the Universal Woman Philippines and Miss Global Philippines titles aside from the Miss World Philippines crown. But at the presentation of the 2026 national pageant’s 24 delegates held at Okada Manila in Parañaque City on Jan. 16, ALV Pageant Circle president Arnold Vegafria said that a total of four titles will be up for grabs.

Vegafria announced that a new title, Miss Tourism International Philippines, has been added. The winner will also get to compete abroad. When this year’s edition of the national competition was launched, ALV Pageant Circle announced its acquisition of the Miss Global franchise. And just a couple of months later, the organizers acquired another international license.

ALV Pageant Circle organizes both the Miss World Philippines and Miss Grand International Philippines pageants. It switches the other global pageant franchises between the two. Some of the international competitions where it also currently holds licenses are the Miss Asia Pacific International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Face of Beauty International, and Miss Tourism World pageants.

ALV Pageant Circle had a triumphant campaign in 2025, with the victories of Reina Hispanoamericana Dia Mate, Face of Beauty International Nikki Buenafe Cheveh, and Miss Grand International Emma Tiglao. Krishnah Gravidez, meanwhile, received the Miss World Asia title at the Miss World pageant held in India in May. She is set to crown her successor at the coronation night scheduled on Feb. 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
