May 12 ------ The search for Joy Barcoma‘s successor as Miss Philippines Earth rolls out with the online presentation of the 33 delegates in this year’s national search, the 26th edition of the pageant.

Aspirants from across the country and different overseas Filipino communities were introduced at the “Presentation of Delegates” streamed on the Miss Philippines Earth YouTube channel on Sunday evening, May 10. With the Miss Philippines Earth pageant’s thrust for sustainability and environmental protection, the ladies are dubbed “Beauties for a Cause,” and are expected to spearhead projects that help mitigate the effects of climate change and promote a more sustainable lifestyle.

Barcoma is leaving huge shoes to fill as Miss Philippines Earth. Aside from landing a Top 8 spot in the 2025 Miss Earth pageant, she had also raised awareness on both the national and international competitions among pageant fans in the country and in other parts of the world. Among those who are up for the challenge of duplicating, even exceeding, Barcoma’s contribution to the organization are international pageant veterans.

Joining the roster of 2026 Miss Philippines Earth delegates is Kristen Dawn Celerio of Cebu City, the first and so far only Filipino woman to bring home the Miss Fitness Supermodel World title. Also in this year’s competition is 2025 Binibining Pilipinas semifinalist Alyssa Mildred Villariña of Mandaluyong City, who was also second runner-up in the 2025 Miss Global Universe pageant held in Singapore.

Her 2025 Bb. Pilipinas batchmate Alyssa Rae Zabala is also among the roster of 2026 Miss Philippines Earth delegates, along with 2026 Miss World Philippines candidate Roveelaine Eve Castillo. Details of the final competition have not been announced yet, but this year’s theme is “Love in Action.” The eventual winner will represent the country in the 26th Miss Earth pageant later this year, and try to post the Philippines’ fifth victory.
