August 17 ------ The Angat Dam and four other reservoirs recorded increases in their respective water levels in the past 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

The Angat Dam recorded the largest increase at 1.06 meters—rising from 181.57 meters on Saturday to 182.63 meters. Water level increases were also observed at Ambuklao (+0.21 meters), San Roque (+1.04 meters), Pantabangan (+0.47 meters), and Caliraya (+0.13 meters). Meanwhile, slight drops were recorded over the same period at the following dams: Ipo (-0.19 meters), La Mesa (-0.15 meters), Binga (-0.28 meters), and Magat (-0.07 meters).

Despite these gains, water levels at all reservoirs remain below their normal high water level (NHWL). Caliraya's NHWL was not included in PAGASA’s update. Spillway operations were scaled down: Ambuklao reduced its open gates from three to two, with a discharge of 201.65 cubic meters per second (cms). Binga reduced its open gates from four to three, discharging 277.51 cms.
