‘Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)’ rapper nabbed for murder

February 3 ------ He was huge in 2015, notching a Billboard chart-topper in “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” among earworms that defined music that year, but now Silento, real name Ricky Hawk, has seemingly fallen on sad times. The 23-year-old rapper has been arrested by authorities — yet again — this time, for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks.

The arrest was shared by the DeKalb County Police Department in a tweet. Note that Silento was also arrested last August for assault with a deadly weapon. He was also held on domestic violence charges a day prior to the arrest and in October, was arrested again for allegedly driving beyond the prescribed speed limit.
