Michael V.'s 'Ikaw Lang' parody is all about high prices and low wages

September 22 ------ Michael V. is back with a creative and meaningful parody song.

To the tune of Nobita’s hit song, “Ikaw Lang,” now titled “Eh Kulang” by NoKita, the King of Philippine Parody sang about high gas prices while people's wages keep getting lower. Indeed, diesel prices are expected to surge by P11 per liter and gas prices by as high as P5 per liter this week, as reported by oil industry sources.

In the music video, Michael V. donned a barong and a traditional Filipino hat, and sang in a courthouse as a common, poor Filipino with needs that need to be heard.

More than that, Bitoy sings about holding people accountable for this societal issue. “Why is it that the person who is always elected is often the one who acts illegally? I thought they weren’t criminals? You'll just blame them, but what happens in the long run?” Michael V. sings in Filipino.

Meanwhile, Nobita took to Facebook following the release of the parody on "Bubble Gang" on Sunday. “An honor for us Sir Michael V!!” the band said.
