TNT not resting on 3x3 laurels

MANILA, Philippines, November 2 ------ Multi-titled TNT braces for a stiffer challenge from rivals bent on stopping its juggernaut in the PBA 3x3.

The Tropang Giga added the Season 2 First Conference crown to their collection that included the Season 1 Third Conference diadem and eight legs victories Sunday but admitted the road to the top has become tougher than ever. “Best effort talaga ang kailangan lalo na ngayon, nag-improve na ang 3x3 at yung mga teams meron na talagang schemes sa offense and defense,” TNT’s Gryann Mendoza said.

“Iyung competition, iba na talaga. Teams are getting stronger and stronger. So we have to stay focused on what we want to do,” said TNT coach Mau Belen.

The Tropang Giga were pushed to the limit by hard-fighting guest team Platinum Karaoke before scoring a 20-17 victory in the finale. After taking two days off, the triumphant Tropang Giga plunged right back into training with the Second Conference Leg 1 kicking off this weekend at Robinsons Place Antipolo.
