THE IMMAJ-PJMCC FOUNDATION, INC. CONCLUDES THE FIFTH DELIVERY OF IMO MODEL COURSE 6.09


The IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation, Inc. recently concluded the fifth delivery for this year of the IMO Model Course 6.09 (Training for Instructors) last 14 September 2018.


This course aims to provide participants with useful introduction about the methods of instruction, teaching aids, and learning models/approaches. The course also aims to provide participants with a sound basis for the delivery of training programs. Overall, this model course was designed to facilitate the delivery of training in the competence standards required by the IMO Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978 as amended (2010 Manila Amendments).


The fifth session of IMO MC 6.09 was attended by 18 participants endorsed by various PJMCC member-manning companies.


The 10-day course, from 03 to 14 September 2018, was facilitated by experienced industry instructors namely, Ms. Ana Maria Jasmin M. Sampedro, Mr. Dennis G. Tan and Mr. Wenifredo G. Sola.


During the Graduation Ceremony, Certificates of Recognition were awarded to Mr. Florence Peter D. Virtucio; Mr. Melvin V. Lomibao; Mr. Marionel F. Bondoc; Ms. Julie Ruth C. Suba; Mr. John Paul C. Rivera and Mr. John Vladimir E. Gurango, who have shown exemplary performance in the Final Practice Teaching activity. Finally, Certificates of Attendance were issued to all the participants who completed the 10-day course.
