Stars of 'Pamilya Sagrado' grateful for high ratings

MANILA, September 2 ------ The Dreamscape Entertainment series "Pamilya Sagrado" has been receiving high ratings since its premiere, much to the delight of its lead stars Piolo Pascual, Kyle Echarri, and Grae Fernandez. The show, which has captivated audiences with its relatable themes, is set to enter a new chapter and promises more revelations and plot twists. "It's always nice to do something na, in a way, successful," said Pascual. "I guess my bottom line is, it's not about the ratings. It's about giving it your all and your best in every output you provide. To be rewarded in a way na may viewers ka, tapos sinusubaybayan."

For Echarri, who plays one of the central characters, his role in "Pamilya Sagrado" has been the most challenging of his career. "This show has been a challenge naman talaga. Sa totoo lang, napakahirap ng character na 'to para sa akin kasi napakabait niya at napakaraming nangyayari sa kanyang masama, at kahit ganun, hindi pa rin nagbabago yung puso," he said. "It's not just my most challenging but also my biggest role para sa akin. Tulad ng sinabi ni Piolo, my role reflects society ngayon para makarelate yung mga tao," he added.

Fernandez, meanwhile, is grateful for the viewers who have been following the series. "Laki ng pasasalamat ko sa audience natin kasi yung story talaga very impactful, sobrang relevant po sa society, lalo na dito sa Pilipinas kasi lahat ng pinapakita namin is very accurate," Fernandez said.

Despite being one of the most respected actors in the industry, Pascual emphasized that he does not see himself as a mentor to his younger co-stars.  "I don't want to call it mentorship because I'm still a student myself. I'm still trying to learn, and I guess I'll forever be a student in this industry. If I'm asked to mentor, I will do it in such a way na I will show my authentic self by trying to teach or let them learn from the way I do it," he said. Starting September 2, "Pamilya Sagrado" will move to a new primetime slot at 9:30 PM, following another highly anticipated Dreamscape series, "Lavender Fields."

It's a change that Pascual welcomes. "In this industry, it's very important to lift each other up, to boost each other, and to be there to support one another. So in Dreamscape, parang may bago tayong show, may bago tayong baby na kailangan alagaan. For us, it's a blessing; ibang market naman ang ma-to-touch, and at the same time, 'Lavender Fields' can also help," he said.
