July 6 ------ At 19 years old, Mad Ramos is already making waves, not just as Sparkle GMA Artist Center’s first-ever Ultimate Campus Cutie, but also as a proud Muslim determined to represent his community in mainstream showbiz. A varsity volleyball player from the University of Santo Tomas, Mad won over judges and the crowd during the Campus Cutie grand finals with his natural charm, talent and most of all, his purpose.

All 20 Campus Cuties gave their best during the opening number, each one bringing their own confidence and stage presence. But there was something about Mad that made him stand out.

When GMA’s senior vice president Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes asked the Top 10 finalists, “What makes you deserving to be the winner of Sparkle Campus Cutie?” Mad answered with sincerity and pride: “I want to make my family proud because I’m a Muslim. Gusto ko i-showcase yung aking talent na kaya nilang makipagsabayan sa ganitong industry kasi kaunti lang ang taong ganito. And I want to showcase sa mga kapatid kong Muslim, kayang-kaya natin makisabay sa ganitong industry.”

It wasn’t just a strong answer, it was a heartfelt moment. In an industry where Muslim representation is still rare, Mad’s win felt powerful and meaningful. More than just good looks and stage presence, he showed the kind of purpose and identity that today’s young stars can bring.

During the month-long training before the finale, mentors called Mad a “triple threat” because of his strong skills in singing, acting and dancing. He also communicates well. But what really stood out was his humility and dedication. Now, Mad’s journey continues as he officially joins “MAKA: Next Chapter” as one of Sparkle’s newest heartthrobs. It’s the beginning of his showbiz journey, one where he’ll be developed as a Kapuso artist and trained for even bigger roles in the industry.
