Holy Week 2026: Tagalog-dubbed ‘Conclave,’ more films set for TV broadcast

April 2 ------ Filipino viewers can expect a mix of faith-based programming and inspirational films on free TV this Holy Week as networks are set to roll out special schedules led by the Tagalog-dubbed airing of “Conclave.”


On ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Channel, the papal drama “Conclave” headlines the Good Friday lineup. Fans of the feature took to X to celebrate the upcoming airing of the award-winning film, which centers on the secretive process of electing a new pope.


The channel’s Holy Thursday (April 2) schedule includes the short documentary “Pope Leo XIV: Ang Pastol,” followed by the live broadcast of the “Celebration of the Lord’s Supper.” It will also air films such as “Then Came You” and “Life of Chuck.”


On Good Friday (April 3) morning, viewers can watch “White Bird: A Wonder Story,” followed by the traditional “Seven Last Words” and the “Veneration of the Cross.” Inspirational drama “I Still Believe” airs in the afternoon, while “Everyday” caps off the evening.


Programming continues on Black Saturday (April 4) with family-oriented and reflective titles such as “Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood,” “The Covenant,” and “The Last Word,” alongside the “Easter Vigil Mass.” ABS-CBN’s full Holy Week schedule can be found at this link.


Meanwhile, GMA Network is also offering a blend of religious classics, family films, and local box-office entries. Its Maundy Thursday lineup features “Jesus,” Oscar-winning drama “Forrest Gump,” and biblical epic “The Ten Commandments.”


On Good Friday, the network airs “The Story of Jesus for Children” and family film “Lassie” in the morning, followed by local romantic dramas “Family of Two” (A Mother and Son Story) and “I Love Lizzy” in prime time. For Black Saturday, GMA will broadcast the family drama “Family History,” starring Michael V., Dawn Zulueta, and Dingdong Dantes.
