August 12 ------ Great news. In keeping with the magnificent performance of the Philippine music industry these past few years, the Awit Awards, the award-giving body of the Philippine Association of Music Industry (PARI), has revved up its act to put up its most exciting awards night ever.

The list of nominees has been released, and the line-up boasts of today’s biggest, most streamed, most downloaded, certainly most successful acts. This is what original Filipino music looks like and also sounds like these days, and what is happening can only lead to bigger things.
