July 4 ------ After 24 years of soundtracking love, heartbreak, growing up and memories people never quite leave behind, Silent Sanctuary is bringing generations of fans together for one unforgettable night of nostalgia and music.

The beloved OPM band’s first major solo arena concert, Gabi ng Lambing, officially sold out just five hours after tickets went on sale via SM Tickets on June 25, marking a major milestone ahead of their Oct. 25 show at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Featuring The Manila Symphony Orchestra, Viva Voce, and surprise guests, Gabi ng Lambing is billed as a celebration of “24 Years of Songs.” The sold-out concert marks a defining moment for Silent Sanctuary as they bring more than two decades of fan-favorite songs, deep cuts and shared memories to a full-scale arena stage.

For the band, the overwhelming response from fans was both emotional and affirming. “We feel like jumping for joy,” the band shared in a post following the sold-out announcement. “See you all on October 25! We’ll give it our all to make your support and love worthwhile. Thank you so much!” “This is the peak of our career,” said vocalist and guitarist Raymund “Sarkie” Sarangay. “Five years ago, we were already wishing and talking about this. It’s perfect timing because time has improved us, and this time, we aim to give fans a good experience.”

Silent Sanctuary is composed of Sarkie Sarangay on vocals and guitar, Anjo Inacay on cello, Allen Calixto on drums, Kim Mirandilla-Ng on violin, Ronnie Ropal on bass, and Poch Villalon on synthesizers and backing vocals. While the band has performed in major venues before, Sarkie shared that Gabi ng Lambing feels different because this time, the stage belongs fully to them. “There have been times when we’ve performed at big venues like MOA, Araneta, and the Philippine Arena, but only as guest performers,” Sarkie said. “This time, we’re the ones taking the stage as a band in front of a crowd this big. It’s our first time performing around 30 songs with an orchestra, and every song is ours. There won’t be any covers.”

For longtime members Sarkie, Anjo, and Allen, the concert is something they have waited years to experience. For Kim, Ronnie, and Poch, who are part of the band’s new lineup, it is also a chance to bring Silent Sanctuary into a refreshed chapter while honoring the sound fans have loved for years. “We waited for this for so long,” Allen shared. Anjo added, “It means our music has stayed power. We are grateful that people are still listening to us, and this is our chance to thank them in the most unique way that we can.”

Following their recent international shows in Japan, Singapore, and Canada, Silent Sanctuary says there is still nothing quite like performing for a Filipino crowd. “There’s nothing like performing on your home court,” Sarkie said. “This night belongs to us.”
