SB19 to throw ceremonial first pitch at White Sox-Yankees game

MANILA, Philippines, July 21 ------ P-pop group SB19 is set to make history as the first Filipino group to throw the ceremonial first pitch at a Major League Baseball game.
The five-member act will take part in the pregame ceremony before the Chicago White Sox face the New York Yankees on July 29 at Rate Field in Chicago.
SB19 announced the milestone through its official Instagram account, where the group also unveiled its schedule of international engagements for the rest of July and August. Ahead of the baseball appearance, the group is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Museum on July 28. SB19 will also take the stage at the Lollapalooza music festival on July 30.
The group's overseas itinerary also includes the "I WaS There Thanksgiving Fanmeet" in the United States on August 8 and 9, appearances at Japan's Summer Sonic festival on August 14 and 15, and another leg of the "I WaS There Thanksgiving Fanmeet" in Japan on August 18.
The ceremonial first pitch adds another milestone to the group's growing list of international achievements as it continues to expand its presence on the global stage.
SB19 joins other Filipino personalities who have been invited to throw ceremonial first pitches at Major League Baseball games, including boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, actress Liza Soberano and comedian Jo Koy.
