MANILA, Philippines, June 2 ------ Hours after Thailand bagged the Miss World 2025 crown, the pageant presented more international queens, including the Philippines’ Krishnah Marie Gravidez. The Baguio stunner earned a spot in this year’s court, taking the Miss World Asia title during an off-stage announcement in Telangana, India.

“From the very beginning of the 72nd Miss World competition, you showed the world the heart, spirit, and strength of a true Filipina,” Miss World Philippines said of the 24-year-old Gravidez in a social media post on Sunday. “Your grace, intelligence, and unwavering dedication made us all proud every step of the way. You didn’t just compete — you shined.” “Thank you for raising our flag with honor and making history,” the pageant’s local franchise added.

Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri bested 107 other candidates in the 72nd edition of the world’s oldest pageant.

The winning queens:

• Opal Suchata Chuangsri (Thailand), Miss World 2025

• Hasset Dereje Admassu (Ethiopia), Miss World 2025 first runner-up and Miss World Africa

• Maja Klajda (Poland), Miss World 2025 second runner-up and Miss Europe

• Aurélie Joachim (Martinique), Miss World 2025 third runner-up and Miss Caribbean

• Krishnah Marie Gravidez (Philippines), Miss World Asia

• Jessica Pedrosa (Brazil), Miss World Americas

• Jasmine Stringer (Australia), Miss World Oceania

Gravidez initially ended her journey in the Top 8 as Thailand’s Chuangsri secured the lone Miss World Asia and Oceania spot to advance to the next round. The Filipina had hoped to become just the second Filipina to win the Miss World crown after Megan Young in 2013. Still, it’s the best Miss World finish for the Philippines since 2019 when Michelle Dee made it to the Top 12.
