PBA: RHJ victorious in return from injury as TNT demolishes Macau

MANILA, October 14 ------ Rondae Hollis-Jefferson made a triumphant return from his Achilles tear as TNT Tropang 5G demolished the Macau Giant Pandas, 142-87, in the PBA Season 50 Governors’ Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The three-time PBA champion import notched 22 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals as TNT dominated by as many as 61 points en route to its seventh victory in 11 games in Group A. “Ever since naman, ang plano namin for the playoffs is Rondae, but we found an opportunity to ease him in slowly,” said Tropang 5G head coach Chot Reyes, as Hollis-Jefferson played his first game since rupturing his right Achilles tendon while playing for the Meralco Bolts in the EASL in December 2025.
Also helping RHJ return to winning ways was Calvin Oftana, who fired 28 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc, while Jordan Heading, Jio Jalalon, and Henry Galinato each scored 11 points for TNT. On the other hand, Oscar Lopez Jr. nearly accounted for half of Macau’s scoring output with 43 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals, but his efforts went unrewarded as the Giant Pandas absorbed their ninth loss in 11 games.
