Pauline Amelinckx, Nicole Borromeo glam up in Malaysian magazine spread

March 25 ------ Filipino beauty queens Pauline Amelinckx and Nicole Borromeo continue to dazzle months after impressing pageant fans on the international stage, this time landing on the pages of a Malaysian fashion magazine. 


Designer Mikee Andrei, also the general manager of pageant camp Aces and Queens that trained the two beauties, shared on social media the images of the magazine spreads that featured the accomplished Filipino women, and enumerated the individuals who worked on the photoshoot. She told in an online interview that “Glam Malaysia” Creative Director Aizat Aidid reached out to the team and asked for a portfolio of 2023 beauty queens, then chose the two from the roster for the magazine feature.  


Amelinckx finished second in the 14th Miss Supranational pageant in Poland, while Borromeo was third runner-up in the 61st Miss International pageant in Japan.Amelinckx also shared on her social media account the images snapped by Filipino lifestyle lensman Doc Marlon Pecjo. Andrei said Aidid flew to Manila with art director Amirul Arifin to oversee the shoot at Parallax Studio in Makati City. 


Andrei, who also oversaw the styling for the shoot, shared images of five magazine spreads from the March 2024 issue. The two queens were seen together in large photographs, accompanied by text in Malay. There were also two solo portraits, one for each lady. The designer and pageant mentor shared with that “Glam Malaysia” reached out to Aces and Queens only in December last year, and Aidid immediately planned a January shoot with Amelinckx and Borromeo. 


The two ladies donned lacey white ensembles by Andrei, and silver and gold pieces by Vin Orias, with other outfits from Malaysian designers Arun and Rizman Ruzaini. Jojo Bragais provided the stiletto heels worn by both Amelinckx and Borromeo. Lei Ponce glammed up Amelinckx, assisted by Marie Khrissy Sky, while Jeck Aguilar styled her hair. Borromeo was made up by Aces and Queens Business Development Manager Jim Ryan Ross, proprietor of Culture Salon, with Kurt Andrei on hairstyling duty.
