‘One Piece’ Season 2 first look revealed as Netflix confirms Season 3

August 11 ------ The Straw Hats are setting sail again! Netflix announced that its live-action adaptation of "One Piece" was renewed for a third season as it revealed the first look for the show's second season. As revealed in the First Look video, the series has been given an early Season 3 renewal. Production is set to begin in Cape Town, South Africa later this year, the streaming giant said in a press release.
Netflix said the second season, titled "One Piece: Into the Grand Line" will feature "fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet." "Luffy and the Straw Hats set sail for the extraordinary Grand Line—a legendary stretch of sea where danger and wonder await at every turn," according to the official synopsis. "As they journey through this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they’ll encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies."
Returning this season are Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Emily Rudd as Nami, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp and Taz Skylar as Sanji. The second season is set to drop in 2026, Netflix said.
Based on Japan's highest-selling manga series of all time by Eiichiro Oda, "One Piece" follows Monkey D. Luffy on his quest to find the legendary fabled treasure, the One Piece, and become King of the Pirates. The first season, released in 2023, consisted of eight episodes.
