August 3 ------ Norman Black has been tapped to handle Gilas Pilipinas for the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

The PBA website confirmed the development. According to the update, the league's Board of Governors also approved a limited number of players to play in the biennial meet with the 50th season ongoing by then in December. Black steered the national team to gold in the 2011 SEA Games and was an assistant coach for Team Philippines in the 1990 Asian Games.

The PBA, meanwhile, will hold some of its games in Bahrain in December.

Norman Black coaching Gilas Pilipinas again is big news. The man knows how to manage pressure and pull teams together when it matters. With SEA Games on the horizon, having that kind of experience at the helm is priceless. Filipino fans are some of the most passionate in the world, and expectations are always sky high. What I find interesting is how this plays into strategy and discipline, similar to sports betting. On apps like https://jeetwin-bd.pro/app-download/ you also rely on coaching instincts – analyzing form, making the right calls. Black’s return feels like a winning bet.
