Mika Salamanca’s 1st book to debut at Manila International Book Fair 2025

MANILA, Philippines, September 3 ------ Apart from being an actress, a content creator, and a recording artist, Mika Salamanca adds another feather to her cap after publishing her first book. The “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition” winner penned “Lipad,” a children’s book inspired by her own story. “Rooted in her own story, the book inspires courage, self-love, and the beauty of flying high on your own,” her talent agency Sparkle wrote on its caption on Instagram.

Mika cried while reading an excerpt from her first book at its recent press conference. “When I see yellow, naalala ko ‘yung sarili kasi ‘yung sister ko laging sinasabi na favorite niya is sunflower at lagi niyang sinasabi na sunflower niya ako. So yung color nito is yellow. ‘Yung red 'yung ate ko, halos siya po 'yung laman ng puso ko. Blue sa kuya ko kasi every time may tears of joy ako, for some reason, siya po lagi naaalala ko,” Mika said. She explained about the colors found in her book, which featured a story on flowers in a grandmother’s garden.

“Lipad” will debut at this year’s Manila International Book Fair, happening at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The book fair runs from September 10 to 14.
