Luis Manzano set to return as host of ‘Kapamilya Deal or No Deal’

July 30 ------ Game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” is set to make its comeback to television nearly a decade after it last aired, with Luis Manzano reprising his role as host. The announcement was made through a teaser posted on Manzano’s official Instagram account and shared across ABS-CBN’s social media platforms.

The teaser featured Manzano answering the phone from the “banker” before it showed clips of previous celebrity contestants, including Sam Milby, John Prats, and Sylvia Sanchez, among others. “Here it is!!!! Kapamilya Deal or No Deal is back??? New episodes coming soon,” wrote Manzano. As of now, rerun episodes air from Mondays to Fridays on Kapamilya Channels.

Originally based on the Dutch game show Miljoenenjacht, “Deal or No Deal” first premiered in the Philippines in June 2006, with Kris Aquino as the original host. Manzano took over the hosting duties in 2012 until the show concluded its fifth season in 2016.

Manzano, who lost his bid for Batangas vice governor’s post at the last May elections, previously hinted at his desire to return and host his now-defunct game shows, namely “Deal or No Deal” and “Minute to Win It.”
