Liza Soberano, Ogie Diaz mark first communication after three years

January 9 ------ It appears that Liza Soberano has reconciled with her former talent manager Ogie Diaz as they marked their first communication after three years since they ended their professional relationship.

The communication came after Diaz sent a public birthday greeting to Soberano, who turned 28 years old last Jan. 4. The talent manager said in the latest episode of his Showbiz Update vlog that he received a response from the actress. “Ang nakakatuwa, sumagot si Liza. Sabi niya, ‘Thank you, Tito Ogie. I hope you and the family are doing well.’ Natuwa ako kasi para mag-message ng ganon si Liza, wala siyang sama ng loob sakin. Ako rin naman nung nag-message ako. Jusko, ang tatanda na namin,” he expressed.

Diaz said that he felt the urge to greet his former talent a happy birthday out of “genuine intentions,” as he credited the contributions that Soberano made in his career and personal life. “Nung mga nakaraan, hindi ako bumabati, hindi dahil masama ang loob ko kundi hindi ko maramdaman ‘yung sincerity. Baka sabihin pinaplastik ko lang. Ngayon, wala akong paki kahit sabihin niyo, ngayon binati ko talaga si Liza. Sa totoo lang, namiss ko talaga ‘yung bata,” he said.

“Magtatanim ka ba ng sama ng loob? Once upon a time, naging anak mo ‘yan. Nabigyan ka rin naman ng magandang career because of Liza. Lagi ko naman sinasabi, if not for Liza, ‘yung aking anak na si Miracle, saan ko huhugutin ‘yon ‘yung mga panggastos sa hospital? Kaya hindi ko siya pwede kalimutan,” added the talent manager.

When asked by his co-hosts hypothetically if he would still be willing to manage Soberano’s career again if he were asked to return, Diaz said that “he will cross the bridge when he gets there.” Diaz added that if he and Soberano crossed paths in person, he would be the one to greet the actress first.
