Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino win ContentAsia 2025 Viewers’ Choice Awards

September 6 ------ Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino once again raised the Philippine flag after they received the Viewers’ Choice Awards recognition for Favorite Actress and Favorite Actor, respectively, at the ContentAsia Awards 2025 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Representing the Philippines, Chiu shared the Favorite Actress win with Thailand’s Rachanun Mahawan, Singapore’s Jesseca Liu, and Malaysia’s Arabella Ellen. Avelino, on the other hand, joined Singapore’s James Seah, Thailand’s Panitan “Mickey” Budkaew, Indonesia’s Oka Antara, and Malaysia’s Evertts Gomes in the roster of Favorite Actors. Both mainstays in the industry, Chiu and Avelino, collectively known as KimPau, gained further recognition after they were paired in the 2023 series “Linlang,” the Korean adaptation of “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” and their first film “My Love Will Make You Disappear.”

Chiu was nominated for her role in “Linlang” at last year’s ContentAsia Awards. For the same project, Chiu and Avelino were both nominated as Outstanding Asian Stars at the Seoul International Drama Awards, with Chiu ultimately taking home the trophy. Chiu was also named the Silver Champion for Best Actress in a Series at the TAG Awards Chicago. Chiu and Avelino are expected to appear next in the upcoming romance-suspense series “The Alibi.”
