Kai Espenido to crown Miss FIT Philippines successor on Sept. 27

September 9 ------ Reality TV alumna and beauty queen Kathleen “Kai” Espenido is set to relinquish her national title later this month, but she is not about to give up her placement as 2025 Binibining Pilipinas second runner-up. The “brave island girl ng Siargao” from the teen edition of “Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity,” the 10th season of the reality TV show on ABS-CBN, will crown her successor as Miss FIT (face, intelligence, tone) Philippines.

Espenido won in last year’s pageant, the fourth edition of the national beauty contest that promotes holistic health. Earlier this year, she joined the 61st Bb. Pilipinas pageant and finished as second runner-up.

The 2025 Miss FIT Philippines pageant will present the official candidates at the sashing ceremony on Sept. 15. They will then engage in their photoshoot the day after. On Sept. 17 and 18, the candidates will listen to talks and undergo training on holistic fitness, then take on the “Fitness Challenge” on Sept. 20. The very important preliminary competition will be held on Sept. 22, where the delegates will compete in national costumes and swimsuits. The crucial closed-door interview will be conducted the next day.

The grand coronation night of the 2025 Miss FIT Philippines pageant will be held on Sept. 27, where Espenido’s successor will be crowned. The final competition’s venue will be announced soon. Another notable alumna of the Miss FIT Philippines pageant is Yllana Marie Aduana, semifinalist and “Face of Binibini” in the 2022 Bb. Pilipinas pageant, 2023 Miss Philippines Earth winner, 2023 Miss Earth-Air titleholder, and 2025 Miss Universe Philippines second runner-up.
