John Prats to direct film with Heart Evangelista

September 21 ------ John Prats is set to direct his upcoming film with Heart Evangelista.

On Instagram, the actor-director shared photos from the film's first production meeting. On a whiteboard, the words "JoHeart" and "Maybe In Another Universe" can be read.

In his caption, John said he is "forever grateful for this moment." "Wow, Lord, You have a lot of surprises. Never saw this coming, and I will never take this for granted," John said in a mix of Filipino and English. "Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that one day, I would direct a movie. But you gave it," John added. John also thanked director Irene Villamor for guiding him. "This is for you, '90s kids," John said.

The reunion film will be released in February 2027. Heart previously teased a new collaboration with John in an Instagram post. In March, John and Heart reunited and went out for lunch together. John also guested on Heart's show "Heart World," where he revealed he was the actress' first boyfriend. As a popular love team in the early 2000s, John and Heart starred in several projects together, including "G-Mik," "Trip," "Ang Tanging Ina," "My First Romance," and "Berks." They recently starred in TJ Monterde's "Teka Lang" music video.
