How motherhood changed Lovi Poe's outlook on life

August 24 ------ Lovi Poe opened up about how becoming a mother has changed her outlook on life, sharing that she has learned to let go of perfectionism and embrace a more spontaneous routine.
In an interview with Karen Davila in her latest YouTube vlog, the actress admitted that motherhood has made her more flexible and less concerned about having everything go according to plan. "A lot [has changed.] I think I don't chase perfection anymore. I let things go," she said.
Lovi said she used to be very particular about her daily routine, saying: "I am more flexible now. Kasi I am such a routine person, everything is on the dot, from the sip of my coffee, time of working out, time of leaving to set... That's how I operate. And now 'yung lahat ng routine ko na 'yun, gone. Parang everything is like completely messy but I love it. I don't plan things anymore. I just take things as it comes, as it goes."
The actress also recalled being very hands-on in caring for her daughter after giving birth in the United States. "I woke up every three hours. Basically, I'm up kasi di ba the schedule of having a newborn you wake up, and feed, burp, and then change diaper, and then back again. It's that rotation and everything. Major hands-on," she stated.
Lovi said she made a conscious decision to experience every part of motherhood. "It was my choice talaga. I wanted to experience every single one of it 'cause I see a lot of things. You want to go through it no matter how tired you are; it's because they are gonna grow up so fast," she stated. "I really savored the tough moments and the best moments, and worked at the same time. It still is the most exhausting but the most rewarding thing ever," she added.
The actress added that while she received support from her mother and a friend, she remained deeply involved in caring for her daughter. "I was doing everything on my own. My mom was there to help me, and I had a friend who came over as well, but I am super hands-on. Even now, but of course when I'm on set I have people helping me. But when I get home, pag-uwi ko talaga, I make sure ako nagpapatulog 'pag hindi pa tulog. Ako 'yung nagfe-feed," she shared.
