July 27 ------ Kapamilya singer and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano received the Legacy Award. This is the first time 'Men Who Matter' gave such award to an entertainment icon. With a career spanning four decades, Valenciano was recognized for his three-night sold out 40th anniversary concert.
In his speech, Valenciano said that was his last major solo concert on an arena or big venue. As a treat, Valenciano rendered three songs one of which was a medley of Stevie Wonder hits.
Aside from Valenciano, ten outstanding men were recognized for their outstanding performance and contribution from their respective fields - Box Office actor Dingdong Dantes, PAGCOR Chairman Al Tengco, Pangasinan 4th District Rep. Toff de Venecia, Chef Sau del Rosario, Conrad Manila's Fabio Berto, Potato Corner COO Joey Alvero, Talent Manager Jojie Dingcong, Opulence Design Concept owner Gerry Sy, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs Frederick Go, Managing director of Bellevue Resorts Patrick Chan and CEO of Citi Paul Favila.
