June 22 ------ “The Silent Noise,” a collaborative series of ABS-CBN Studios and Prime Video that stars Angelica Panganiban, was named the Best Asian Contents awardee at the 2026 Global OTT Awards in South Korea.
The mystery thriller series was up against five contenders: “The Believers 2” from Thailand, “City Founding Pioneer” from Taiwan, “Hirayasumi” from Japan, and “Pursuit of Jade” and “Shine on Me” from China. Panganiban and director Onat Diaz were present at the 2026 Global OTT Awards ceremony held in Busan on Saturday, June 20.
“Winning this award will be very meaningful and encouraging for our team in the Philippines because it reaffirms our belief in fearlessly telling our stories with much passion, and creates genuine interactions with our audiences that will cut across borders in different territories,” Diaz said as he accepted the accolade.
Panganiban also vied for the Best Lead Actor (Female) award, which was won by South Korea’s Shin Hae-sun for her portrayal in “The Art of Sarah.” Aside from Panganiban, the 10-episode limited series features Zanjoe Marudo, Mylene Dizon, Zaijian Jaranilla, Mutya Orquia, and KD Omalin.
