MANILA, Philippines, June 7 ------ Minimum wage earners in Eastern Visayas and Soccsksargen are getting an increase in their daily take-home pay, the National Wages and Productivity Commission said.
According to NWPC, Eastern Visayas workers will get the second tranche increase of P15 after the latest Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB). “The increase brings the new minimum wage rate in Eastern Visayas to P405 for workers in the agriculture, cottage and handicraft and service or retail establishments employing 10 workers and below; and P435 for workers in the non-agriculture and service or retail establishment employing 11 workers and above,” the NWPC said.
Also starting June 1, workers in Soccsksargen will receive the fourth tranche of the wage increase granted by the RTWPB. The latest adjustment reflects an increase of P10 from the previous rate of P420, the NWPC said.
